YouTube Releases Top Music Videos Of 2018

YouTube shared some numbers recently as to what the most popular videos on their streaming site were (really, we watched the Walmart yodeling kid the most?), and as part of their released stats, they also shared the numbers for the most streamed music videos. The shocking things was, eight of the top ten videos were in Spanish.

At the top of the list, with 1.44 billion views, was the “Te Bote Remix” from Casper, Nio Garcia, Darell, Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny, and Ozuna. The song has dominated since it was released last April, and was far ahead of the rest of the pack. Shockingly Drake’s “In My Feelings” didn’t chart, considering the music video was responsible for a dance challenge that went viral. His song “God’s Plan” did make an appearance though at number 8. The only other non-Spanish song to chart was Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” which featured Cardi B. The video had a clew of cameos in it, including ones from Sarah Silverman, Gal Gadot, Tiffany Haddish and Ellen. The song landed at number 3 on the list. Puerto Rican singer Ozuna was featured in four of the ten songs on the chart, including two in the top five.
