When Billboard announced their weekly top ten list yesterday it included a very special bit of history. Canadian musician Drake has become the first solo male artist to have two number one hits stay in the top spot for 10 weeks.

In the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, only 36 songs have landed on top of the list for 10 weeks or longer. Drake’s God’s Plan is the latest of them. His song One Dance in 2016 was the other song to do it. According to Billboard, 1,071 songs have been number one, with God’s Plan being the fifth to have spent at least its first 10 weeks on top.

This isn’t Drake’s first brush with the Billboard Hot 100 chart record books either. He also holds the records for the most charted songs among solo artists with 154, the most simultaneously charted Hot 100 songs in a single week with 24 (which is almost 25% of all charted songs that week), the most time on the Hot 100 at 431 weeks and the most Hot 100 debuts in a week with 21. He also holds the record for the most Billboard Music Awards with 13.
