Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and other technology investors have launched a new high profile  venture form called Breakthrough Energy Ventures.

The new company aims to fund clean energy technology development and they will invest in ventures at any stage, from startups to established companies.

Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV) is an investor-led fund made up of members of the Breakthrough Energy Coalition, guided by scientific and technological expertise and committed to investing patiently in developing new ways to live, eat, travel, and build.
