As an outcome, Haiti is brimming with trash everywhere– on the streets, in rivers and even along the coast. According to Deutsche Welle, it’s so bad there that sadly lots of Haitians actually live”in (and around) trash.”
And according to ecological activist Rosaly Byrd, there’s a lot garbage that it’s practically impossible to go swimming anywhere in Haiti without experiencing some.
“It prevails to see lots of plastic bottles, plastic bags, and other random trash on the beaches and straight off the shore,” she composed for the Huffington Post 4 years back.”As an ecologically mindful person, living in Haiti and seeing this environmental catastrophe depresses me, exasperates me.”
I wager.

However in case you question her testament, simply see the video below, which shows a river in the capital city of Port-au-Prince littered with limitless trash.
To be clear, the video appeared on Facebook about a month ago, though it stays uncertain when exactly it was filmed.
Regardless, welcome to Haiti, ladies and gentlemen, a nation where, anywhere you look, you’ll see “(p)lastic and foam food containers … obstructing canals, jumbling streets and choking ocean wildlife,” as reported by The Bulletin magazine in 2012. Would you ever take a trip to
Haiti? I ‘d like to believe the situation has actually improved because 2012, but it hasn’t, at least not inning accordance with Dan Andros, the handling editor of FaithWire, who went to Haiti late in 2015.” I went there a few months back and the hardship is breathtaking, to say the least,” he wrote two weeks back.
“Here’s some mind boggling video I captured oceanside featuring a mountain of trash, wild pigs roaming about, and half-naked children playing & & going to the restroom wherever they please,” he continued.
That video can be seen below:

“The first thing I saw when arriving in country was the trash everywhere. Rivers of it– actually,” he included.
This is the genuine Haiti, and while it’s brimming with fantastic individuals– as Andros enthusiastically confirmed to in his piece for FaithWire– it’s also loaded with garbage and, apparently, feces also.
However judging by how liberals responded to Trump’s declared “s *** hole” remark, it looks like they want to deny the reality about Haiti. They ‘d rather pretend the island country is a “lovely” utopia versus a Third World hellhole.
That’s unfortunate, since an utopia is by its very meaning an ideal state that needs no modification and improvement. And I’m sorry, liberals, however the Haiti I just saw in the videos does need change and improvement– lots of it, in reality.
