A chartered plane, which was carrying Chapecoense Football Team, crashed Monday night, killing more than 70 people.

The Brazilian first division football team was traveling from Santa Cruz, Bolivia to its next stop, where they had to play a game.

As per as reports, the plane had lost communication with ground controls around 10PM after the pilot reported an electrical fault.

Moments later the plane crashed in mountain areas near Medellin in Columbia.

Another report clears that around 77 people were onboard, however the initial report claimed of 81 people, on which the agency replied that four people failed to board the plane.

As of now, only 6 people have been saved. Three among them are said to be footballers but yet they have suffered severe injuries.

Alan Ruschel, a defender for the team, has suffered severe spinal injuries whereas Helio Zemper has suffered severe injuries to his skull and chest.

Reserve goalkeeper, Jakson Follman, has also suffered severe injuries but it is yet not clear that which part of the body he has suffered the most.

As per as another report, goalkeeper, Marcos Padilha, was alive when he was pulled from plane’s debris, but sadly he later died in hospital.

There were 21 journalists on board and as per as sources, all of them are dead.

A team of three investigators has already left for Columbia to investigate the cause of the crash.

Seeing this tragic incident, the Brazilian president, Michel Temer, has announced three days of national mourning in the memories of people who lost their lives.
