After previously being teased, Microsoft has today announced the roll-out of support for the Oculus Rift on their Xbox One console. Allowing gamers to stream Xbox One games directly to their Oculus Rift.

The support is now available as an update to the Xbox One streaming application and as long as your Xbox One and PC system which is connected to the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset are on the same network you be able to view your Xbox games in one of three virtual theatres.

Check out the video below to see a demonstration of the Xbox One streaming to the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset and hardware. Microsoft explains a little more about what you need to do to set up your system and enjoy the new Oculus Rift Xbox One streaming support.

Connect to your console via the app and watch your games come to life on a huge virtual screen in three immersive virtual theatres. Now you can expand your library of VR games with your favourite Xbox One titles, including Xbox 360 games that are playable on Xbox One. Xbox One Streaming requires your Xbox One console to be connected to the same network as your home PC.
