This press release is submitted and shown here in its original form, unedited by Furniture Today.

All roads lead to Frankfurt: your journey to Heimtextil

As the first event of the year Heimtextil starts the ball rolling for the upcoming year. The leading trade fair for home and contract textiles takes place from 10 to 13 January 2017 in Frankfurt am Main and brings together the whole industry in one location: everyone will be there, from market leaders and medium-sized companies to industry newcomers. Planning your journey to and from the trade fair, booking hotels, finding the right exhibitors and their latest offerings on site quickly – effective preparation in advance of the trade fair is critical for successful business. Messe Frankfurt therefore offers visitors to Heimtextil a range of helpful services that make the advance preparation easier.

Online ticketing – save money and avoid waiting times

Online ticketing at Heimtextil offers a number of advantages at once. Visitors to Heimtextil will be able to buy their entry ticket from the online ticket shop at the cheaper advance purchase price. The day ticket costs EUR 30 instead of EUR 42 and the season ticket costs EUR 54 instead of EUR 80. Visitors in possession of a voucher can redeem their voucher very easily from home by going online, thus saving themselves a wait at the tills. Convenient: if you purchase your entry ticket online, or redeem your voucher online, this can also be used as your travel ticket on all train services operated by the Rhein-Main transport authority (RMV) in and around Frankfurt.

Keep your finger on the pulse with the Heimtextil app

The free ‘Heimtextil Navigator’ app is the orientation guide for visitors to Heimtextil. It is ideally suited to facilitating preparation prior to visiting the trade fair. It contains an exhibitor search function, a watch list integrated into the floor plan, as well as optimised event features. In addition to these features, the app also collates news from the Heimtextil social media accounts, new articles from the trade fair blog and the latest press releases. The new version of the app can be downloaded from the Apple app store and Google Play store. Take advantage of the free Wi-Fi provided during Heimtextil, which can be utilised over the entire trade fair site.

Whether travelling by train, car or plane, thanks to the central location of the trade fair site in Frankfurt and at the heart of Europe it takes no time at all for visitors to reach Heimtextil. Since there are limited charging spaces available, we would ask you to please contact us on emobil@messefrankfurt.com in good time.

Please take care when planning your journey, because there may be closures and diversions in place on traffic routes in and around Frankfurt, due to building works around Güterplatz / Europa-Allee. Arriving by aeroplane

The journey from the airport to the trade fair is a short one and best taken via the public transport options on offer. The journey takes around 15 minutes. The Lufthansa Group operates special tariffs to Heimtextil: it is offering all visitors and exhibitors reduced-price air tickets at discounts of up to ten per cent off the regular ticket price, as well as other preferential rates. In collaboration with Fraport AG, Messe Frankfurt also offers the ‘Gate to Messe’ service. Sit back and enjoy a chauffeured ride in a Limousine with up to three others, transporting you in style from Frankfurt airport to the trade fair site. Take advantage of our ‘Messe to Gate’ service on your return journey to Frankfurt airport and your departure gate.

Travelling stress-free – baggage services at Heimtextil

Messe Frankfurt offers various different baggage services for both exhibitors and visitors. Focus on what is important: take advantage of your business meetings or, once the trade fair is over, explore the city on a sightseeing tour. We will look after your luggage and you can rely on us to transport it securely to your hotel or to another address. Book this service online or in situ at Heimtextil. For air travellers flying with the Lufthansa-Group there is an additional baggage service available at Heimtextil: offload your luggage at the trade fair site itself – Lufthansa will organise free baggage transport to the airport, including registering your luggage on site. Travel stress-free from the trade fair site to Frankfurt airport and save yourself time on checking in your luggage. Once you arrive at your destination airport you can pick up your luggage again in the usual manner at the baggage reclaim area. It is not necessary to pre-register.

You can find further information and tips for your journey in the arrivals brochure. This can be downloaded as a PDF file from the Heimtextil homepage by navigating to the ‘Arrival and stay’ menu and clicking on the ‘Your arrival’ section.
