An early look at the Pixel 10 Pro appeared on the Google Store on Tuesday—almost a month before the official launch event. A 13-second video on the site gives the first full view of the device and showcases a blue-gray color option, which leaks say is called “frost.” The clip begins with a stylized “10,” morphing into the trademark camera window and zooming out to reveal the phone from the back.
The design is similar to last year’s Pixel 9, with subtle updates rather than a major redesign. One major change comes via the rear camera system. For the first time, the standard Pixel is to have a triple camera setup, including a main 50MP sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a new 11MP telephoto lens. Reports say the main and ultra-wide sensors are more similar to those in the Pixel 9a, meaning some specifications might not match the previous model’s higher-end features, though the addition of a telephoto lens is a big upgrade.
Inside, the Pixel 10 uses Google’s new Tensor G5 processor. This chip is made by TSMC, which is known for better power efficiency and performance compared to the Samsung-made ones used previously. The G5 is reported to use custom components, including a new image signal processor, a non-Samsung video codec, and a graphics processor that lets the phone support hardware ray tracing and GPU virtualization, as reported by ArsTechnica.
Further details are to be confirmed at Google’s official event on August 20. The launch will also include updates on the Pixel Watch 4.
