that there are more downsides than upsides to fame.

There are few more powerful ways of drawing attention to
yourself than wearing a brown paper bag on your head on the red carpet. 

Just to
make sure we got the message, the actor wrote “I am not famous anymore” on the
bag he wore on his head in Berlin, after tweeting “I am retiring from all
public life. My love goes out to those who have supported me.”

Kristen Stewart

She always looks uncomfortable on the red carpet and at
awards ceremonies and she’s vocal about being one of the celebrities who hate
being famous. “People expect it to be easy because there you are, out there,
doing the thing you want and making lots of money out of it,” Stewart told the Vogue
U.K.

Harrison Ford

Even though he doesn’t say no to press junkets, the “Star
Wars” actor is always forthcoming about how little he actually wants to do
them. “There’s nothing good about being famous. You always think, ‘If I’m
successful, then I’ll have opportunities.’ You never figure the cost of fame
will be a total loss of privacy. That’s incalculable. What a burden that is for
anybody. It was unanticipated and I’ve never enjoyed it,” Ford told E!

Jennifer Lawrence

While she does play nice in interviews, Lawrence also seems
to be one of the celebrities who hate being famous, at least when that means an
invasion of her privacy. “I am just not OK with it. It’s as simple as that. I
am just a normal girl and a human being, and I haven’t been in this long enough
to feel like this is my new normal. I’m not going to find peace with it,” she
told Vogue.

Robert Pattinson

At the height of his “Twilight” fame, Robert Pattinson
claimed that he suffered from depression because of the pressures of being
famous. “I went through a big time of depression between 23 and 25, I couldn’t
go where I wanted to go. I was in the tabloids every day and I didn’t have
access to the roles I really wanted,” he told French magazine Premiere.

Shailene Woodley

The “Divergent” star likes a simple life, and one of her hobbies
is foraging, so she’s also one of the celebrities who hate being famous. She
also calls celebrity “the C-word”. “Unless you’re Tom Hanks or anyone of that
caliber who can’t leave their house without being mobbed, I don’t think that
those words should be used and applied to you. As far as the perks go, you
know, it’s kind of one of the disgusting things about this industry. The more
money you make, the more free stuff you get. I think that that’s weird, and I’m
not a huge fan of it,” she told iVillage.

Johnny Depp

He’s one of the biggest stars on the planet, and that has
certainly affect Johnny Depp. “You start to realize that for the past 10 or 15
years you’ve been going into restaurants through the back door, scurrying along
greasy floors, trying to get to some private room. It’s not unlike living like
a fugitive,” Depp explained, quoted by The Huffington Post.

Megan Fox

The “Transformers” actress isn’t just one of the celebrities
who hate being famous, she also compared international fame to “being bullied
by millions of people constantly”.

Brad Pitt

Even though he’s been famous for over two decades, Brad Pitt
also struggles with it. “It’s something I never made my peace with. Somehow
you’re not supporting your film if you don’t get on a show and talk about your
personal life. It has nothing to do with why I do this,” he told Newsweek.

Daniel Craig

After taking on the iconic role of James Bond, Daniel Craig
also became one of the celebrities who hate being famous. “I get people who
just take pictures of me with their camera phone while I’m having dinner. I
want to get violent and I can’t,” Craig told ShortList magazine.
