Asus ROG Strix GL702 17 Inch Gaming Laptop Unveiled

ASUS Republic of Gamers this week taken on the role as the official hardware provider for The International 2016 event and the ROG Strix GL702 and ROG Swift PG248Q gaming laptops have been named as the official hardware of the world’s biggest Dota 2 gaming competition.

The International 2016 is now underway at the KeyArena in Seattle and runs until August 13th 2016 during which 16 teams compete for a massive prize pool exceeding $19 million.

ROG is proud to be the tournament’s official hardware provider, with ROG Strix GL702 and ROG Swift PG248Q selected as official gaming laptop and monitor of TI16. Asus explains more in the press release :

ROG Strix GL702 is a lightweight gaming laptop that delivers a perfect balance of performance and portability. It features NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M graphics, a choice of wide-viewing-angle 4K UHD or Full HD IPS displays, and NVIDIA G-SYNC technology.

GL702 features an intelligent three-way thermal solution featuring a proprietary design, the HyperCool triple-fan system, and independent CPU and GPU cooling to keep the system cool even during marathon gaming sessions. In addition, GL702 has a specially-designed anti-ghosting gaming keyboard with 30-key rollover for precise multi-keystroke commands.

Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet for the ROG Strix GL702 17.3-inch gaming laptop, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
