Appliances at CES 2017: How ‘smart’ do you want your home to be?

Samsungs 6K smart fridge is often held up as one smart appliance too many

LAS VEGAS — If there was a word of the year for CES 2017, it’d be “smart.” Nearly every booth, and every product category featured supposedly smart versions of the previous year’s products. Of course, in the rush to incorporate the latest fad in technology into their products, not everyone hit the mark. Nowhere was that more clear than in smarter appliances for your home. While all of them come with a plausible use case, and I’m sure all will appeal to someone, only a few seem innovative in a truly useful way. I’ve picked out some of the ones I thought were most interesting and worthy of discussion. Take a look and let us know your thoughts.
