Manchester United player Paul Pogba reveals how brand-new function is behind improved form

Paul Pogba believes an advanced function is driving him on to greater success at Manchester United. The Frenchman was Guy of the Match in the 3-0 victory over Stoke, and he chalked up another assist with a superb pass for Anthony Martial‘s goal.

And Pogba himself believes his improved impact over games is down to Jose Mourinho offering him greater liberty to play an advanced function.

“I have actually been more forward, I have more liberty to move forward and have a positive impact,” Pogba informed Sky Sports after the full-time whistle.

“I can use more of my ability, my credit to go forward, utilize my power, to shoot and to obtain helps, so it matches me more I would say.”

The midfielder also acknowledged it was favorable for United to see City’s unbeaten run end at Liverpool – but with Pep Guardiola’s side still 12 points ahead in the Premier League, United have to do their own job initially.

Included Pogba: “We see Male City remain in front people and they are losing. They are first so we constantly wish to capture them so it was good for them to lose. We have to believe about ourselves and about winning.

“It is excellent that they lose points but we need to go back to winning because we lost a great deal of points and we need to try and capture them again.”
