Samsung to Ditch Saturn Ring Camera Design for Galaxy Z Fold 7

A recent tweet from a prominent Samsung insider/leaker says that Samsung has quietly made a big change to the design of its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7. As per @UniverseIce, earlier prototypes of the device had a camera design that is called the “Saturn Ring” style, which was also seen on the Galaxy S25.
These thick, ridged rings around the camera lenses have faced quite a few complaints from users and reviewers who felt they appeared less premium; not only this, but many people were even able to take them off without much difficulty.
In response to the criticism, Samsung appears to have listened to users and has gone back to a cleaner, simpler camera design for the mass-production version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The new look is much closer to what was shown on the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
There is talk that the Galaxy S26 series, strongly expected in early 2026, could also do away with the Saturn Ring camera design.
But all in all, at this stage, no matter how concrete the source is, this is only speculation, and no official confirmations have been given. Hopefully, Samsung hopes to give users a more appealing look with its next-generation foldable phones, expected to be launched on July 9.
