Windows 11 24H2 Preview Update Adds All New PC-to-PC Migration

Microsoft has rolled out the KB5060829 preview cumulative update for Windows 11 24H2. This optional update is available for users who want to test fixes and new options ahead of the official Patch Tuesday release. It does not provide security patches.
One big addition is a new PC-to-PC migration experience, which lets users move files and settings between computers. Although this option is not yet available during initial PC setup, Microsoft says it will be added in a future update as part of a phased rollout. The taskbar now lets more app icons fit when space is limited, and users can adjust this setting under taskbar behaviors.
The update also addresses several issues, including scripts on remote SMB shares taking too long, improved ALT+Tab switching during full-screen games, and Explorer.exe no longer crashing with window snapping, as reported by Bleeping Computer.
Windows Hello for Business now properly handles automatic certificate renewal. Unused language and Feature on Demand packages can be removed more completely.
