According to a recent announcement by Louis Lee, head of OnePlus China, OnePlus is preparing to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13, in China this month, as posted by TechRadar. The device is expected to feature the latest Snapdragon processor and up to 24GB of RAM, 8GB more than the Pixel 9 Pro and 3x the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Lee confirmed on Weibo that the OnePlus 13 will be equipped with the “latest Snapdragon flagship chip,” which industry experts speculate could be the rumored Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The executive also mentioned that the device will run ColorOS 15, the Android-based operating system used by OnePlus and Oppo phones in China.
While the initial launch is slated for the Chinese market, a global release could follow in early 2025, similar to the company’s previous launch for the OnePlus 12, somewhere close to Samsung’s S25 lineup.
According to Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, the device will feature an LTPO OLED display with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is also expected to offer improved brightness and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Lee had previously confirmed that the OnePlus 13 will utilize the BOE X2 micro-curved display, which is slightly curved on all sides, not just two.
Other rumors say that a large 6,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities could be on the cards. The camera system could have a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera.
The OnePlus 13 may be priced similarly to or slightly higher than its predecessor, the OnePlus 12.
As with all pre-release information, some details may be subject to change before the official launch.
