While Anthony Vaccarello may be best known for his eponymous line, the Italian-Belgian designer has officially announced that he is suspending his label. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the 36-year-old design talent will be directing his focus to his collection for Saint Laurent.

As the creative director of the French fashion house, Vaccarello was appointed to his position in early April. He took over from French designer Hedi Slimane, who had led Saint Laurent from 2012. With Fashion Month approaching, Vaccarello is set to show his debut Saint Laurent collection on September 27 at Paris Fashion Week.

WWD reports that Vaccarello issued a statement, in which he described his gratitude to those who have supported his fashion label. Launched in 2008, Anthony Vaccarello designs have become known for their grunge inspired aesthetic, signature black pieces and a darkly sexy style.

“This adventure has been amazing but I now feel the need to fully focus on this new project,” the designer said in his statement.

Although fans of Vaccarello’s own label may be left disappointed, fashionistas can always catch his trademark design aesthetic on the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2017 runway this autumn.
