Best Early Prime Day 2025 CPU Deals

Amazon Prime Day is the company’s biggest sale of the year, and 2025 sees it stretching out for four whole days, from July 8 to July 11. We always see thousands of price drops on tech in all categories, and the good news is that Amazon has already gotten a head start. If you’re building a battlestation, you’ll need a processor, and both AMD and Intel CPUs are seeing discounts. Here’s a roundup of the best CPU deals we found on the megaretailer’s site before Amazon Prime Day.

Specs: 3.2GHz CPU speed | 36MB cache | 24 cores
With a 6GHz peak clock speed, this is a CPU that can really work up a sweat. Although it’s a last-generation processor, the i9-13900KS is a powerhouse that PCMag said was “an incredible feat of engineering,” with 24 cores and 36 threads for astonishing performance. A 39% price cut is massive.
Intel Core i9-13900KS Gaming Desktop Processor for $473 (list price $774.99)
Specs: 3.7GHz CPU speed | 16MB cache | 10 cores
This was a very impressive CPU when it released in 2021, and it will still anchor a decent entry-level gaming system in 2025. In PCMag’s review, the site said it “punches well above its weight,” noting that it had a high overclock ceiling and good price-per-core performance. $130 is a ridiculous bargain.

Specs: 3.4GHz CPU speed | 30MB cache | 16 cores
PCMag called this processor “a juggernaut in its price range” in its review, noting that the i7-13700K “delivers potent multithreaded performance and highly competitive gaming muscle for the money.” Amazon has it on sale for 21% off.
Intel Core i7-13700K Gaming Desktop Processor for $333 (list price $419)
Specs: 4.4GHz CPU speed | 76MB cache | 12 cores
Hunting high power? The Ryzen 9 9900X is sure to satisfy. In PCMag’s review of this potent processor, the site said that it “matches Intel’s Core i7-14700K on performance while remaining far cooler and drawing less power, making it a compelling option for your desktop.” A 24% discount makes it even more attractive.
AMD Ryzen 9 9900X Processor for $376.22 (list price $499)
Specs: 4.2GHz CPU speed | 96MB cache | 8 cores
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is an interesting experiment in CPU design, going slightly skimpy on the core count but pushing the memory cache pretty high, to 96MB. In PCMag’s review, the site gave it a full round of tests and found that the processor was extremely power-efficient, even if it ran a little hot in testing, and it’s a solid option at 20% off.
