Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S25 Edge, is facing slower sales than the company had hoped for. As reported by The Elec, Samsung has “considerably lowered” production of the S25 Edge this month after sales numbers fell short of internal goals.
Typically, new phones see strong sales during the first three months after launch, but sources say the S25 Edge has seen a sharp drop in demand. It was quite obvious when Samsung didn’t release S25 Edge sales figures, at least not until May 2025.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is just 5.8mm thick and is known for its slim, lightweight design and 6.7-inch QHD+ screen. However, to have such a thin build, Samsung made quite a few trade-offs. The phone comes with a smaller battery, doesn’t have fast wired charging, and does not have a telephoto camera, which means only two cameras (excluding the front camera). Priced at $1,100, the S25 Edge is also one of the more expensive options in Samsung’s lineup.
Earlier, it was said that Samsung was likely to replace the S26 Plus with an S26 Edge model in 2026, as reported by Android Authority, but now Samsung could keep the S26 Plus if the S25 Edge’s sales remain slow. Based on the current situation, it seems more probable that the S26 Plus will continue as part of Samsung’s future lineup.
