In an update to its Community Guidelines, Uber has published a list of behaviors that could get you banned from future rides in Ubers. The company says that, “As part of these ground rules, for the first time we’re publishing a policy explaining why riders can lose access to Uber—just as we already do with drivers. This is important because when drivers use Uber they do more than simply drive: they’re sharing their own car, their space, their time and a slice of who they are with passengers.”
The rules are pretty obvious, but they’re now spelled out just in case there is a dispute. This way, everyone is covered. It involves damaging the property of the driver or other passengers; physical contact with the driver or riders; using inappropriate or abusive language or gestures; unwanted contact with the driver or passengers after the trip; and breaking the law while using Uber.It is all common sense stuff. Basically, be a decent human being if you want the privilege of using Uber in the future.
