Williams speaks at deposition

Tennis super star Venus Williams answered questions Friday about the deadly crash she was involved in in Palm Beach Gardens in June.

Police said Williams lawfully entered the intersection, but the Barson family filed a wrongful death lawsuit.

Salnick said a deposition is like a fishing expedition, where lawyers can ask questions that may not be admissible in court.

Williams’ deposition took about three hours, and she left just as she came, without saying a word.

Neither Williams’ lawyers or lawyers for the Barson family had any comment Thursday.
