What NDA? The Verge’s Joshua Topolsky wears a Moto 360 on The Tonight Show

Before appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Verge’s editor-in-chief tweeted this:

And he wasn’t kidding. Resting upon his wrist was Motorola’s upcoming Android Wear smartwatch, the Moto 360.

While Google and Motorola reps have shielded the device when testing, Topolsky was unable to stop the Moto 360 from waking up and showing a clock face as his sleeve rolled-up. While there was no mention of the device during the segment, it’s a pretty interesting easter-egg.

The fact that a journalist is wearing such a device must mean that its release date is getting closer. Early rumours even specified a potential July release, meaning the publication might be preparing a feature-article on the new watch and Android Wear OS. Also, the fact that Topolsky hinted at an easter-egg prior to the segment airing probably means that it was an intentional move from Google, Motorola, or The Verge.

With Google I/O going down this month, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a big focus on Android Wear, and also a release date for a few of the new products. Video of the segment is below.
