Watch The Fifty Shades Freed Trailer Here

The Fifty Shades of Grey franchise turned heads as a book series when the first novel by E.L. James was released in 2011, and when it was announced that they would be turned into films starting in 2015 people wondered how the steamy novels would ever be faithfully adapted. They did a respectable job of it though, so much so that the first film pulled off a respectable $166 million at the box office. By the time Fifty Shades Darker came out two years later though interest in the franchise seemed to have faded, and it didn’t manage to do as well. Still, its $114 million was enough to get the third film made, and yesterday the official trailer and poster were released online.

Fifty Shades Freed is set to be released on February 9th, which is just a few days before Valentines Day. The film has the tag line, “Don’t Miss the Climax”, and promises plenty of steamy scenes. The trailer shows Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Ana (Dakota Johnson) becoming husband and wife, with Christian buying the pair a massive new house. Everything doesn’t seem to be going well though, as conflict seems to be ripe in the trailer. Ana fights with an architech, and is seems fleeing in a car from her ex-boss. And of course the trailer is full of steamy sex scenes.

Fifty Shades Freed is directed by James Foley, with the script written by E.L. James husband Niall Leonard. Along with Donan and Johnson, Marcia Gay Harden, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Jennifer Ehle, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini, Callum Keith Rennie, Bruce Altman, and Robinne Lee also reprise their roles.
