U.S. national team coach says he expects his players to stand for the Star-Spangled Banner

National team coach says he expects his players to stand for the Star-Spangled Banner.

Men’s national team coach Bruce Arena says he is “very supportive” of U.S.

The American federation announced last weekend it had implemented a policy that required players to stand during the anthem.

“All persons representing a Federation national team shall stand respectfully during the playing of national anthems at any event in which the Federation is represented,” the regulation reads.

I think players should stand for the national anthem,” Arena said on FS1.
