Two new tennis courts, which gathered protests from nearby neighbors, will be back before City Council next week with a new location and price tag nearly double the cost of the original.
Neighbors declared victory in August after the council decided to stop construction of the courts at the Pleasanton Tennis and Community Park on Valley Avenue and look elsewhere.
Neighbors at the time balked at the idea that the courts would take up open space, and also complained about the lack of notification from the city that construction would begin.
