Persona 5 New Story Trailer Amps Up The Excitement For The Perennially Delayed Game

There’s a brand new trailer for Persona 5 to celebrate the PlayStation Experience today, and it’s predictably great. It actually appears to be a mash up of a couple of Japanese trailers for the game- the trailer itself appears to be the second Japanese one, but the music comes from the fourth Japanese trailer, with all the footage being from the PS4 version, which didn’t even exist back when this trailer originally released.

That should give you an idea of how long this game has been delayed for. Anyway, if the newest delay (to April 4) deflated your hype for the game a bit, then this trailer should help revive it a bit- the game looks great, the voice work in English sounds great, and in general, this is still the same Persona 5 we have all been excited for for all this time, even if it is coming about three years later than was originally promised.

You can check out the trailer below. Persona 5 will launch on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on April 4, 2017 in North America and Europe.
