LG‘s line of ultralight notebooks is getting brand-new designs in time for the new year. At CES 2019, the South Korean company will formally showcase 2 new LG Gram gadgets: a 17-inch laptop and a 14-inch convertible.
The look for a light yet big-display laptop computer will soon be over thanks to the LG Gram 17. While other consumer note pad makers hesitate to dive into the 17-inch category, LG presses the limits. At just 1.34 kg, this is the lightest 17-inch laptop computer in the market and can last for 19.5 hours on a single charge, according to the business.
Even with a 17-inch screen, the Gram 17 is just as big as your common 15.6-inch laptop. Its screen has two times the pixels of a basic Full HD screen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio.
It’s powered by an eight-gen Intel Core processor with up to 16GB of DDR4 memory. The laptop computer includes an integrated 256GB or 512GB SSD, but has an extra slot for another one for future upgrades. It’s also geared up with a Thunderbolt 3 port for charging, information transfer, and display out.
There’s the LG Gram 2-in-1 which, as the name indicates, is a convertible that quickly transforms from laptop computer to tablet. It’s got a 14-inch IPS touchscreen display with a 360-degree hinge connected to a MIL-STD-810G standard body for extra toughness.
Out of package, it includes a Wacom AES 2.0 Pen with 4,096 pressure levels and tilt detection. Like with its larger sibling, LG also put in a long-lasting battery cell which is rated to last for as much as 21 hours.
LG’s new 2-in-1 laptop will feature an eight-gen Intel Core processor, up to 16GB DDR4 memory, and up to 512GB SSD also.
Prices of the two brand-new note pads are yet to be officially validated, but rumors recommend that it’ll be around US$ 1,700 for the Gram 17 and US$ 1,500 for the Gram 2-in-1. LG will have everything all set for display screen at CES 2019.
