Following on from the launch of the new HP Elite x3 smartphone earlier this year, HP has this week rolled out a new HP Elite x3 Lap Dock. Which has been specifically designed transform your smartphone into a handy laptop system the full QWERTY keyboard and larger 12.5 inch display.
The display on the HP Lap Dock offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, together with a keyboard equipped with a back light, touchpad, 46 Who battery and spill-resistant design.
Other features of the Lap Dock include a USB Type-C port for charging, 2 x USB Type-C ports for data, together with a micro HDMI port and 3.5mm headset jack. HP explains :

Talk, text and run mobile apps on your HP Elite x3 and work with Windows and corporate apps using Windows Continuum1 and HP Workspace2 on an ultra-narrow bezel 12.5” diagonal screen with the productivity boost of a large keyboard and trackpad.
Unfortunately though the HP Elite x3 Lap Dock is priced at $599, so for some it might still be more effective to purchase separate more powerful laptop rather than the new HP Lap Dock.
