E3 2016: South Park: The Fractured But Whole arrives this December

During Ubisoft’s E3 conference, Trey Parker and Matt Stone gave us a generous amount of information and gameplay for their upcoming game South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Developed by Ubisoft San Francisco, in collaboration with South Park Digital Studios, the game continues right where we left off in The Stick of Truth, you are the new kid again, joining the children of South Park as they role-play superheroes.

The game features much more character classes, giving you a bigger variety of gameplay styles and abilities, also adding movement to the turn-based combat system. The combat system now puts players in a small arena where you can move around and position yourself depending on your play style and abilities – you can also push or pull enemies, sending them towards objects or other characters that can chain attacks. It is a great improvement to the combat system, and adds another layer of strategy.

The game pokes fun at Marvel and DC, introducing a story where a ‘civil war’ happens among Coon and Friends. We can definitely expect to see some more jabs towards superheroes in film and TV, interesting characters, new locations, fun surprises; and something that will most likely get censored here in Australia.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole will launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC this December 6th, and if you pre-order it now, you get South Park: The Stick of Truth for free.
