E3 2014: Nintendo confirms new Zelda game for 2015

Earlier today, Nintendo confirmed at its E3 presentation that they will create a brand new title for its long-running The Legend of Zelda franchises. The game is expected to be released sometime next year.

While Nintendo did not go into detail about the new game, it promises to break many of the norms in the franchise and introduce new ways to play the game – including introducing a “truly open world” for players to explore and beautiful graphics.

Nintendo did not release a trailer, but did release four screenshots – which you can see below. You can also view the announcement below (it is at the 20:00 mark).
