Blind and Disabled Golf Classic

Registration is now being accepted for the 17th annual California Blind and Disabled Golf Classic, which this year will take place at the Zaca Creek Golf Course in Buellton.

“Everyone is invited to participate, spectate or support the tournament,” said Bob Kotowski, tournament chairman and director of instruction for the California Blind and Disabled Golf Association.

This year’s tournament will honor Howard Shaw, a golf instructor and businessman who was blind for 50 years yet established the tournament and was its chairman until his death Nov.

“This will allow you some insight about blind golf and give you an opportunity to explore the feel, timing, rhythm and routine aspects of the game,” Kotowski said.
