Last night, the 59th annual Grammy Awards caused a sensation at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Along with recognizing stellar talent in the music world, the Grammys also featured our favourite celebrities strutting the red carpet in all their glory. Carrie Underwood
The 33-year-old songstress stunned in a shimmering red creation made by Lebanese designer Elie Madi. The sultry yet perfectly sophisticated frock featured a high collar, dainty long bell sleeves and a cut-out bodice which revealed her décolletage. For a finishing touch, the dress’ thigh-high slit and trailing hemline brought a fairy tale element to the overall design.
Jennifer Lopez
Staying true to her reputation as a sex symbol and style icon, J.Lo graced the red carpet in a soft lilac number by Ralph Russo. The airy, feminine dress was complete with a fluttery halter neckline, a vampy deep neckline and a daring slit up the leg. Meanwhile, her clutch and heels were detailed with tiny, sparkling diamonds for a dose of glamour.
Charli XCX
The 24-year-old songstress may be best known for attending awards shows in all manner of eccentric finery, but her look at the Grammys was pure elegance. Charli XCX stepped out in a strapless scarlet Vivienne Westwood gown. With its plunging sweetheart neckline, brocade embroidery and flared skirt, the figure-skimming creation emphasized her curves.
