It looks like the Amazon Echo range of devices are a hit for the company, since the original Echo first launched in 2014, Amazon has apparently sold 5.1 million units of the device in the US.
The news comes in a report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners who have said that Amazon have hit over 5 million units sold of their Echo devices in the last two years.
Amazon apparently sold 2 million units of the device in the US in the first nine months, these figures are for the US only and do not take into account worldwide sales.
The Echo range of devices come with Amazon’s Alexa voice activated assistant built in, the assistant can be used for ordering stuff on Amazon, checking the weather, controlling your home automation devices and much more.
As yet Amazon have not revealed any details on how many Echo devices they have sold, as soon as we get some more details we will let you guys know.
