Alienware introduces new gaming system for CES 2020

A new year always brings new and exciting technologies for everyone. And to start off the new decade, Alienware plans to drop a full-fledged gaming system at CES 2020. This gaming system contains both a top of the line PC and monitor fit for competitive gamers and content creators alike.

The cool Aurora breeze

First off in Alienware’s list is a new desktop system fit for both gamers and content creators. The company dubs it “Aurora” and is a mid-tower desktop with the latest hardware and a unique cooling system.

The Alienware Aurora sports the latest, 3rd generation AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-core processor for heavy duty tasks and productivity. Also, the Aurora comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080Ti, and can also come with dual NVIDIA NVLink SLI enabled. With that enabled, expect unparalleled graphical power while gaming.

One other innovation the Aurora possesses is in its airflow design. Alienware’s designers modified the tower chassis to increase airflow during intense workload. They claim that such design lessens airflow obstruction so that temperatures for the voltage regulator significantly decrease. This further allows a lesser risk of prolonged damage to other components, as well.

The big, wide gaming monitor

Coupling the new Alienware Aurora is the new Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor. This new monitor promises to provide gamers with speed and color accuracy suitable for victory.

It features a 25-inch IPS, FHD display with a 240Hz refresh rate, which is twice as much as most gaming monitors in the market. The higher refresh rate is coupled with what Alienware claims as a true, 1ms response time for increased reaction time. Also, the display supports AMD’s Radeon FreeSync and NVIDIA’s G-Sync for a smoother gaming experience.

Much like the Aurora, the new Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor comes with its revamped cooling system. The company claims to have optimized its ventilation, releasing air from the top bottom and rear sides of the monitor. All of these are placed inside a sleeker, more premium design that snugs right under the keyboard.

Pricing and Availability

The Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor will be available in March 11 2020 for US$ 499.99. The Aurora  is already available today and will come in two variants. The Aurora R9 will retail for US$ 849.99 while the Aurora R10 will retail for US$ 1,199.99.
